Summary

Alison Harper is kidnapped from under the dark cloud of the recent Ripper Murders. Detective Lt. Jack Vincent vows that the Major Case Squad will find Alison and return her home. Detectives Hunter and Erikson think that Vincent isn’t that confident as when they get assigned a case they realize that things tend to get real interesting real fast. Alison’s parents and the police aren’t the only parties interested in the girl, Thomas has been hired by his mysterious benefactor to find Alison and bring the girl to him; which puts him on the wrong side of both fairy courts. On the other side of town Brittany learns that an Ancient Dragon is also coveting the girl, her actions at dissuading him do not go unnoticed; especially when Chrysophylax decides he wants Brittany added to the collection. The White Council has their own worries, they charge the young wizard, Craig Hale, to quickly find Alison and return her home without attracting too much attention. Craig realizes that this is going to be tricky as Alison is the living personification of a Fallen Star and the power she represents is going to be on every supernatural creature’s radar Bobby Chan knows little about kidnapped girls, but he does know chemistry. He gets hired by the Latin Kings to tweak their drug, Red Bliss. They are expecting a new ingredient to be brought to them shortly and they need a chemist of Bobby’s skill to make sure the mixture is just right. Bobby’s always looking for a new high, so what could go wrong?
